So if anyone's been following me on here for any number of years, they would know that I've had a bit of a rough time here and there. With losses in the family and less than stellar experiences throughout high school, among other things as well.
I'm afraid to say it incase I'm shown otherwise, but it looks like things might start turning around for me, as far as fortune goes!
I found out this week, after weeks of hard work getting everything together earlier in November, (everything was already late but they let me get everything in by the 4th) that I was accepted to the Minnesota College of Art and Design (MCAD). This has been the college I've wanted to go to since my sophomore year in high school. So I can finally finish my last semester at my community college, move in there by January, and get down to business!
Now here's the icing on the cake, which I wasn't expecting at all. Yesterday I received a scholarship from MCAD in the mail. I didn't apply for this, I didn't even know it existed. I'm still debating whether I should say how much it was because it really is A LOT. It's not a free ride, but it's amazing and I flipped out completely when I got it. For anyone who wants to try to find out, it's called the Visual Scholarship. It's given mainly based on the portfolio, which you all have seen quite a few things from already.
I'm ecstatic that I not only got accepted, but received a huge scholarship as well, despite that I got everything done LATE. I'm so excited to get there and I'm glad good fortune has found me.
I want to thank all of you for the support every time I bitch about something going wrong. You all really do inspire me to make more art and I always look forward to your feedback even if I do seem like an ass. I really do appreciate it. I'm going to try making more art when I can because it's something I really love to do, and I hope you all stick around for it, as few and far between my work gets. Thank you all again!
